Comcast Shows Lars Larson Three Hours Per Day

Comcast, cable television provider serving Portland and Vancouver, has a channel of their own called CNW 14 or Channel 14. It is not a free cable access channel. In the past, the cable company had advertisements of services provided by Comcast on CNW 14 until not too long ago. Then they started showing local sporting events such as wrestling, old TV comedy shows, and now political programming. They present three hours of Lars Larson every day for Portland/ Vancouver customers for free on their channel. There is no other moderate or liberal voice to offset this extreme right-winger's show on CNW 14. I strongly urge other Comcast customers to complain about this. Our subscriptions are used to pay for Lars Larson on the Comcast channel every day of the week. Comcast needs to hear from lots of people before they will correct this situation.
When you call to complain to Customer Service, they give you the phone number of the person who does the programming for this channel. You can also e-mail him - ken_lotka@cable.comcast.com - He is a very close-minded individual (no surprise) who responds back by saying he is providing diversity on the free Comcast channel by offering Larson. He said I could get the Classic Plus subscription if I wanted to hear Al Franken on the Sundance Channel. I let him know that I was appalled that he would suggest I spend extra money to hear Franken when he (Ken Lotka the programming guy for CNW 14) is offering Larson for free to viewers. By the way, Sundance no longer offers Franken to viewers anyway.
After hearing from Lotka, I called Comcast back and demanded that I speak with a supervisor in Customer Service and they complied; the supervisor, too, was very surprised that Comcast's CNW 14 offered Larson and he said he would refer the complaint to management. There is a place on the Comcast national website to make complaints, so I would recommend people pursue that also. I have also contacted the offices of senators Ron Wyden, Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray.
It seems unethical for Comcast to offer Larson when they are the only cable company we can subscribe to in Vancouver and Portland.
Everyone who reads this and subscribes to Comcast should call Comcast Customer Service at 1-888-262-6300 and demand to speak with a supervisor, e-mail Ken Lotka, and also write a complaint on the Comcast website - https://www.comcast.com/Localization/default.asp?referer=/ContactUs/cust...
