Iraq Bad News and Good News

Bob Herbert usually nails it. This OpEd on why we'll find it very hard to ever leave Iraq is superb. The BAD news - we're definitely not winning, we've put our troops in a concentration camp that attracts all the Islamic extremists for insurgency drills and target practice, and the NeoconNuts will never admit defeat.

The GOOD news? We won't have the credibility, military resources, money or stupidity to try it again. Yes the last one is iffy - but the first three are sure bets.

If you study the history of the NeoconNuts you would probably add illusions about Israel security to Herbert's oil rationale.
