Update From The Sorenson Campaign: Pete on Lars Larson and more
Submitted by pete06 on November 30, 2005 - 1:39pm
www.petesorenson.com / info@petesorenson.com Fellow Friends and Sorenson Supporters: This is Shane Kavanaugh, Pete’s Campaign Coordinator. Pete wants to get the word out to you about what’s going on in his campaign now that the Democratic Primary is less than six months away. This really is the race of 2006, since Pete and Governor Kulongoski both beat all of the Republicans by large margins in a recent Zogby International poll. Pete wants to talk to you about his upcoming announcement tour, which will cover 10 cities and Oregon’s five congressional districts in just four days, before he files his election papers in Salem on December 12. Governor Kulongoski filed on the Monday before Thanksgiving, under the cover of darkness. Pete wants to renew his pledge to you that as Oregon’s next governor he will fight for full public education funding, fight for living wage jobs, fight for access to affordable health care, fight for campaign finance and tax reform, and fight for the withdrawal of Oregon’s National Guard from Iraq. Pete has challenged the Governor to debate him on these issues. Kulongoski doesn’t want the debate, so Pete will take these issues to the people of this state. Lastly, Pete wants to let you know how we can all work together to build a grassroots campaign that will win on May 16, 2006 and go on to serve the interests of all Oregonians for the next four years. Meanwhile, our current governor continues amass his corporate war chest. Remember that the late Senator Paul Wellstone won as a challenger, even though he was outspent 7 to 1! Pete himself will be hosting Meetups in Eugene and Portland this Wednesday (that’s tomorrow!) and this Thursday night. For those of you who can’t make them, Pete will be on the Lars Larson Show Thursday afternoon waiting to take your call. Please consider asking a question from the issues we’ve outlined above. And, finally, Pete will be at the Portland Saturday Market (under the west end of the Burnside Bridge in old town Portland) and needs your help there with clipboarding and handing out materials, 10 am to noon. Please show up and help. Meetup In Eugene: The Lars Larson Show Meetup In Portland: Portland Saturday Market If you would like to find out more information about Pete’s campaign, or if you would like to find out how to get involved, please don’t hesitate to email me at info@petesorenson.com. Pete and I look forward to meeting and hearing from many of you soon. Sincerely Yours,
