4th of July: Happy Independence Day!
Submitted by Moses Ross on July 4, 2006 - 8:14am
Dear Oregon Democrats, July 4th has become a day from which we take a break from the normal routines. May I suggest that we also take the time to re-evaluate our dedication to the higher principle of exercising and preserving our individual freedoms, liberties and unalienable rights which are the cornerstones of our communities? Our founding fathers articulated these self-evident truths into a document called The Declaration of Independence. Every now and then we need to be reminded of these truths. Scroll down to review a transcript of this inspired document. You can find lots more cool information about the document here: http://www.archives.gov/national_archives_experience/charters/declaratio... Happy Fourth of July and God Bless America!
