arnie98683's blogDemocrats Help Bush Beat His Attack Iran War DrumSubmitted by arnie98683 on October 1, 2007 - 7:26pm.Senate Roll Call to Practically Give Bush Authority To Attack Iran By Calling Them a Terrorist Nation and Imposing Sanctions - The First Step Towards Another Bush War!!!!!!!! That dimwit Democratic leader of the Senate Harry Reid voted to give Bush the authority to attack Iran!!!! And, worst of all, frontrunner for the Democratic Presidential nomination Hillary Clinton voted for it!!!!!!! She obviously didn’t learn from her first mistake in voting to give Bush authority to attack Iraq. »

STOP THE RIGHT-WINGERS' LYNCHING OF COLORADO TEACHERSubmitted by arnie98683 on March 7, 2006 - 7:22pm.The Today Show had the young teacher Jay Bennish on this morning to explain how the controversy started with the Overland High School student, who secretly recorded his teacher's discussion, where Bennish made some controversial comparisons of Hitler's rhetoric and tone in his speeches to those used by Bush in his State of the Union speech to promote nationalism. In the tape that Matt Lauer played on Today, Bennish clearly states and emphasizes that he is not saying Bush is just like Hitler. A student, Sean Allen, who recorded the 50 minute lecture, under his father's guidance, took the tape to conservative talk radio stations and played the most controversial sections of the tape. Allen did not play the parts of the tape where Allen asked Bennish questions to, as Matt Lauer of Today put it, "seemed to egg you on to make more comments about Bush and Hitler." Of course, the school district suspended Bennish, and now his students have been demonstrating against the school district saying they are censoring his free speech. Bennish on Today said he discussed many controversial subjects in his classroom to encourage the kids to think critically about what is going on in the world. Here is the story in the local newspaper: continue reading this blog posting » »
SUPPORT THE FALLEN SOLDIER'S MOMSubmitted by arnie98683 on August 8, 2005 - 1:25pm.Cindy Sheehan who lost her son in Iraq has been holding a vigil at the entrance of Bush’s Crawford ranch until he speaks with her; Sheehan says she will next hold a vigil on the White House lawn if Bush continues to say no her requests for a conversation with him. The mother of the fallen soldier has now been threatened with jail if she does not leave Bush’s ranch by this Thursday. Write your Congressional representatives asking them to support this courageous mother and also write the White House to express your disapproval of Bush’s actions. Complain to Comcast About Running Lars Larson ShowSubmitted by arnie98683 on July 18, 2005 - 10:39pm.Supposedly KXL (Lars Larson Show) pressured Comcast, according to Comcast Marketing Director Lars Lofas to run Larson's show on the Comcast free cable (non-community access) channel CNW-14, 7 days a week for 3 hours a day each day at noontime. There are no progressive voices on Comcast's free channel CNW-14 to offest Larson's radical right voice. Comcast Marketing Director Lofas can be reached at 503-605-6400 (direct line to his office). He is the one who decides the content of programming at Comcast's free channel CNW-14. Those people who have called Lofas to complain about Larson said they cannot get through to Lofas during the day. But, I have tried his number in the evening, and I am able to leave Lofas a message; and, he does call you back. I also have spoken with Programming Director Mike Dirkx at KPOJ Air America to encourgae him to work something out with Comcast soon. The more of you who contact these two people, the greater the chance we might be able to make more progress on this issue. continue reading this blog posting » »
DEMAND THE FIRING OF SMARMY CONSERVATIVE JOURNALIST ROBERT NOVAKSubmitted by arnie98683 on June 30, 2005 - 2:37pm.22788.1 Conservative journalist Robert Novak has to be one of the smarmiest journalists on the planet. He was the first one to "out" undercover CIA agent Valerie Plame. Plame's husband was Ambassador Joe Wilson who pointed out discrepancies in Bush's "evidence" on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Now we know that Wilson was right about the Bush lies. Someone in the White House decided to punish Wilson by leaking his wife's secret identity to Novak so that he could "out" her in his column. That not only was criminal but it also endangered her life. continue reading this blog posting » »
Buy a Blue "Bring Home the Troops" Car MagnetSubmitted by arnie98683 on June 23, 2005 - 5:29pm.Here is an alternative to the shallow "Support Our Troops" car magnet ribbons you see all over Vancouver and Portland: "Bring Home the Troops" blue ribbon magnets. You can buy them at: I am a little sick of the "Support Our Troops" ribbons on cars all over Vancouver and Portland. If people really believed in their ribbons, they would be insisting on more financial support for the troops and their families and also more safety gear for our troops. Also, if all the people who have the Bush stickers and "Support Our Troops" ribbons on their cars eith continue reading this blog posting » »
