Dick Cheney is as big a loser as George W Bush

Submitted by BethP on February 14, 2006 - 7:21pm

An excellent insight into our vice president!

DICK CHENEY: AMERICA'S MOST DANGEROUS AND SHAMELESS UNINDICTED CRIMINAL
Tell A Friend / ROLLING STONE revealed the unvarnished truth ~ Dick Cheney is as big a loser as George W Bush. It's the blind leading the blind ~ no wonder we are in such deep trouble / by Allen L Roland, Ph.D / http://tinyurl.com/bdhzs

"As vice president, Cheney has been the decisive force pushing America into war. In the inner councils of the administration, it was he who emasculated Colin Powell, cut the State Department out of effective policymaking, foisted fake reports on the intelligence agencies and supplanted the National Security Council. It was also Cheney who placed appointees personally loyal to him, including Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz, in charge of the Pentagon and speckled the warmaking bureaucracy with desk officers culled from neoconservative Washington think tanks -- ideologues with no military experience:" T.D. Allman / Rolling Stone

Watching Dick Cheney's latest oblivious blunder ( By the way, the first person he called, after the shooting, was Karl Rove ~ " Karl, this is Dick ~ how do we spin ourselves out of this mess ? " ) as well as his shameless, deceitful and vindictive speeches remind me of an insightful article by Rolling Stone which I featured in September of 2004 entitled THE CURSE OF DICK CHENEY.

ROLLING STONE revealed the unvarnished truth ~ Dick Cheney is as big a loser as George W Bush . It's the blind leading the blind ~ no wonder we are in such deep trouble.

T.D Allman brilliantly reveals in detail how Cheneys career has been marred by one disaster after another . This is a long but compelling insight into, perhaps, the most dangerous and shameless man in our government today. A must read!

I did not have pictures taken with that lobbyist, Mr. Jack-off

I did not have pictures taken with that lobbyist, Mr. Jack-off

by "TruthIsAll"
(ProgressiveIndependent.com; direct link at http://tinyurl.com/98pwh)

I never even met Mr. Jack-off. I never had photos taken in the oval office with Mr. Jack-off. There are 5 pictures with Mr. Jack-off but we will not release them. The pictures are irrelevant to the Jack-off investigation.

We were NOT having SEX in the OVARY ORIFICE. Upon stealing this office, I promised the American people that we would bring honor to the office disgraced by The Clenis.

And I said that unlike The Clenis, we would always tell the truth.
We would NEVER lie about a sex act. We have kept the pledge. I have never LIED about a sex act. And I never will.

Notice my mouth is not moving. That means I'm telling the truth. In 2004, I said FISA warrants to wire-tap were necessary. That WAS the Law - then. We follow the Law.

The NY Times has disclosed there were thousands of warrantless wire-taps. The 2004 statement is inoperative. Now, our lawyers tell me I didn't need FISA warrants, any way.

So even if we didn't ask for warrants, it's a moot point. In retrospect, I did NOT break the Law. In fact, I AM the Law

Notice my mouth is moving now... Now Laura and I will leave for Texas. To prepare for SOTU. And to clear brush. BTW, we're going to have the Bin Ladens over for dinner. In the meantime, if you see any planes crashing into buildings.... give us a call.

A CALL TO ACTION.

"We the people are--collectively--still the key to the survival of America's democracy. We--as Lincoln put it, '[e]ven we here'--must examine our own role as citizens in allowing and not preventing the shocking decay and degradation of our democracy.

"I endorse the words of Bob Barr, when he said, 'The President has dared the American people to do something about [our current constitutional crisis]. For the sake of the Constitution, I hope they will.'" ~Al Gore, Jan. 16, 2006

Turn your outrage into mass political action. The World Can't Wait organization is organizing a nationwide protest rally against the B* regime and your participation is important! The theme of the protest is "Drive Out the Bush Regime" and "Bush: Step Down and Take Your Program With You". The plan is to hold protests in cities around the U.S. just prior to the State of the Union speech at 9:00 p.m. ET on Tues., Jan. 31st. From the website:

At 9:00 PM [ET] let the world hear us as we symbolically drown out Bush's lies bring your own noise - drums, pots and pans, musical instruments - your voice. Let taxi horns blare and church bells ring, as we bring our own state of the union message: BUSH STEP DOWN!

Listen to a public service announcement (PSA) by researcher/author Mark Crispin Miller (www.markcrispinmiller.blogspot.com/) on WCW's website at http://tinyurl.com/9tb5l.

The rally being organized in Portland is currently the only one scheduled in Oregon. Details so far:

A CALL TO ACTION by Al Gore: 'We the People' Must Save Our Constitution

Submitted by BethP on January 17, 2006 - 2:17am

Al Gore called We the People to action in his outstanding speech given in Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 16, 2006 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day). Excerpts from his speech (bold emphasis added):

We the people are--collectively--still the key to the survival of America's democracy. We--as Lincoln put it, "[e]ven we here"--must examine our own role as citizens in allowing and not preventing the shocking decay and degradation of our democracy.

--snip--

Indeed, when the Convention had done its best, it was the people - in their various States - that refused to confirm the result until, at their insistence, the Bill of Rights was made integral to the document sent forward for ratification.

And it is "We the people" who must now find once again the ability we once had to play an integral role in saving our Constitution.

--snip--

We have a duty as Americans to defend our citizens' right not only to life but also to liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It is therefore vital in our current circumstances that immediate steps be taken to safeguard our Constitution against the present danger posed by the intrusive overreaching on the part of the Executive Branch and the President's apparent belief that he need not live under the rule of law.

I endorse the words of Bob Barr, when he said, "The President has dared the American people to do something about it. For the sake of the Constitution, I hope they will."

--snip--

I mentioned that along with cause for concern, there is reason for hope. As I stand here today, I am filled with optimism that America is on the eve of a golden age in which the vitality of our democracy will be re-established and will flourish more vibrantly than ever. Indeed I can feel it in this hall.

As Dr. King once said, "Perhaps a new spirit is rising among us. If it is, let us trace its movements and pray that our own inner being may be sensitive to its guidance, for we are deeply in need of a new way beyond the darkness that seems so close around us."

Bush: Consitution is just a "goddamned piece of paper"

An interesting article in Capitol Hill Blue about Bush and his reported comments about our constitution. I don't know much about the reporter, Doug Thompson, but according to a subsequent article (see http://tinyurl.com/7lql2), he claims to have won numerous journalism awards. ???

Bush on the Constitution: 'It's just a goddamned piece of paper'
By DOUG THOMPSON
Dec 9, 2005, 07:53

Last month, Republican Congressional leaders filed into the Oval Office to
meet with President George W. Bush and talk about renewing the controversial USA Patriot Act.

Several provisions of the act, passed in the shell shocked period immediately following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, caused enough anger that liberal groups like the American Civil Liberties Union had joined forces with prominent conservatives like Phyllis Schlafly and Bob Barr to oppose renewal.

My Letter to Al Franken: How about the TRUTH re 2004?

Al,

I just heard you say on your show that you don't believe the 2004 election was stolen, not even in Ohio. You said you based that opinion on information from other liberals and your staff, I believe. Al, have you not read Congressman John Conyers’ report on the 2004 Ohio election? or the recent GAO report on electronic voting machines? or books by authors such as Bob Fitrakis and Harvey Wasserman, Andrew Gumbel, and Mark Crispin Miller that document the numerous problems? or analysis studies done by prominent researchers like Steven Freeman, Ph.D.? or US Count Votes' report and analysis done by 13 prominent experts? or read Brad Friedman's interview of software programmer Clint Curtis? or the MOUNTAIN of other valid evidence showing implausible and improbable problems with the reported 2004 election results? Are you not familiar with the Dominionists/Christian Reconstructionists (i.e., the Christian Taliban), including their plan to turn our country into a theocracy, multi-millionaire member Howard Ahmanson’s connection to the electronic election system companies and their monopoly in that industry, and their stated goal of taking control of our government by 2004?

On one of your shows in Oct. 2004, Sen. Tom Harkin stated that the Bush administration was so desperate to hold on to power that he didn’t know what they could be capable of. The Bush Crime Family lied to the American public so they could invade another country for political, personal, and/or business reasons, is attacking our cherished civil liberties and every aspect of our society, and would do Anything to hold on to power, and yet you think they couldn’t be capable of stealing an election to pursue their perverted goals???! People like to mock this possibility and refer to it as being a “conspiracy theory”. In fact, as the mountain of valid evidence and FACTS show, THERE’S NO THEORY ABOUT IT. It was a conspiracy and it did happen! And what, people think conspiracies don’t happen? On the contrary, history is rife with them.

You emphasize to right-wingers that they need to open their eyes and see the truth. Your latest book is also entitled “The Truth.” Perhaps you should take your own advice on this issue and open your eyes to the fact that our elections no longer belong to The People, that our democracy is currently an illusion and we need MAJOR election reform to restore our democracy.

This can be a very difficult and frightening acknowledgement for many people, including liberals, but it is the truth. Just look at the FACTS, the REAL facts. Until people realize and acknowledge this truth, the Dominionists and neo-cons will continue to laugh their way to Washington, D.C. and control all branches of government, and the Democrats (or any political party other than the Republicans) will become totally irrelevant. Being in denial and promoting the Big Lie on your radio show only deeply hurts this country and our future. Please, Al, study up on the FACTS.
