New features...Brand new feature: Post campaign information for our listing. We're asking for campaign info, including web site, office address, mailing address, phone number, etc. in an attempt to make a statewide listing of progressive candidates running for office in Oregon. Also, ballot measure campaigns (or opposition campaigns for conservative measures) are also encouraged to add their info. Some of you may have noticed some new features on our site. They include the ability to vote up/down a post, to add it to networks like Digg and StumbledUpon, and a points system to reward those who participate on the site. Every time you post a blog, event, comment, etc. while logged into our site, you'll gain points on the site. Please don't abuse the system, though - anything that is deleted because it is inappropriate, spammed, across the site, etc. will delete points from your ranking. The vote up/down allows you to recommend posts to others. All you have to do is click on the up/down arrows found at the top of every post (you must be logged in). Please don't vote a posting down just because you disagree with a person's stance. So if a person is supporting Hillary, and you support Obama, please don't vote them down just because you disagree. We've added these features to help our site become more interactive for site visitors and to encourage more people to post in the blog and in the calendar. |
